2. What Data We Collect

We process the following categories of personal data:

  1. Account Data
    • Name, email address, company, role, login credentials.
  2. Project & Site Data
    • Site name, site location (e.g. PV site location), installed capacity (kW/MW), project identifiers.
    • This data may relate to legal persons (companies). It may be personal data only when linked to an identifiable individual.
  3. Uploaded Files & Technical Data
    • Aerial images, thermal images, flight metadata (e.g. date, temperature, camera parameters).
    • Resulting orthophotos, digital surface models and analysis outputs.
  4. Usage & Log Data
    • IP address, browser type, access times, pages viewed, error logs and job execution logs (e.g. job ID, timestamps, processing status).
  5. Communication Data
    • Content of messages you send via contact forms or email.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data (such as health data, political opinions, biometric identifiers, etc.).

3. Purposes and Legal Bases

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  1. Provision of the Service
    • Creating and managing user accounts.
    • Receiving and processing aerial datasets.
    • Generating and delivering orthophotos, thermal analyses and reports.
      Legal basis: Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  2. Customer Support and Communication
    • Responding to your inquiries and support requests.
      Legal basis: Performance of a contract and/or legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b), 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  3. Service Security and Abuse Prevention
    • Maintaining logs, detecting misuse, protecting the Service against attacks.
      Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  4. Legal Compliance
    • Fulfilling legal obligations related to tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
      Legal basis: Compliance with legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

4. How Long We Keep Data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above:

  • Account data: kept for as long as your account is active and for up to 1 year after closure, unless a longer period is required by law.
  • Uploaded files and generated outputs: retained for 12 months after processing completion, unless you request earlier deletion or we are contractually obligated to keep them longer.
  • Logs: technical logs are typically kept for up to 12 months, unless needed for security or legal reasons.

After the retention period expires, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

5. Data Sharing and Processors

We do not sell your personal data.
We may share data with the following categories of recipients:

  1. Cloud and Storage Providers (Processors)
    • Object storage provider for file storage.
    • Cloud infrastructure providers for data processing.
  2. Email and Communication Providers
    • Transactional email service for sending login, notification and support emails.
  3. Professional Advisors and Authorities
    • Lawyers, accountants or public authorities when legally required.

All processors act on our documented instructions and are bound by data processing agreements under Art. 28 GDPR.

6. International Data Transfers

Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure an adequate level of protection through:

  • An adequacy decision by the European Commission, or
  • Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, and additional safeguards where necessary.

You have the following rights (subject to conditions under applicable law):

  • Right to rectification – to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.

  • Right to data portability – to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and transmit it to another controller where technically feasible.
